Formulation

Chemistry inside real constraints.

Engineering the product by resolving compatibility, sensory, stability, manufacturability and cost — without losing the objective it started from.

Working variables

A formula is not a list. It is a system.

Compatibility

Actives / vehicle / use level

Stability

Time / temperature / light

Dosage

Serving / load / capacity

Delivery

Solubilization / encapsulation

Sensory

Taste / texture / skin feel

Scale

Process / equipment / tolerance

Economics

Material / process / unit cost

Benchmark

Reference / difference / advantage

Move one variable and the others respond. Formulation work is the negotiation between them.

Route

Objective to working formula

  1. 01

    Target product profile

Objective, active intent, format, sensory target, cost ceiling and constraints are written down.

  2. 02

    Formulation route

Vehicle, actives, excipient system and delivery approach are selected with rationale.

  3. 03

    Bench development

Samples are produced and variables are changed deliberately.

  4. 04

    Revision cycles

Failure points are addressed in focused, documented cycles.

  5. 05

    Working specification

The formula is prepared for presentation-level development and pilot production.

Iteration

Variables changed one at a time.

Vehicles, actives and excipient systems are compared side by side, so a difference in behaviour can be traced back to a specific decision.

Where analytical or microbiological testing is needed, requirements are defined with the laboratory and coordinated through qualified third-party laboratories. We do not present in-house analytical testing as a capability.

Ingredient choices and use levels influence what a product can reasonably be said to do. Compliance and claims review runs alongside formulation, while the formula can still change.
